How we score

Used and discounted hardware for local AI, found and scored every day. UK prices in pounds, EU prices in euros, nothing converted.

Every day the pipeline pulls prices from the sources below, stores them with their history, and computes a verdict for each live listing. Each market is scored on its own, in its own currency: UK listings in pounds against UK history, EU listings in euros against EU history. The verdicts come from a fixed set of rules and the numbers on this page.

The metric for each class

Data-centre parts (Tesla, A-series, L4, enterprise U.2) are flagged: they need their own cooling and power arrangements.

Baseline

A listing is compared with its item's median price in this market over the last 30 days (at least 3 recorded prices, one value per seller). Until an item has that much history, its baseline is a known-good price set by hand for this market, shown on the item page; items without one wait for their history. The 30-day low is shown beside it.

Verdicts

A market median needs 5 live sellers in the window. With fewer, the other market's median, converted at the day's ECB rate, is the baseline.

Confidence

The three dots beside each metric say how many distinct sellers stand behind this market's median: five or more, three or four, one or two. Hover or focus the dots for the exact count. With under 5 sellers the baseline is borrowed from the other market, and the dots say so.

Listings under £15 or over £12,000, or outside 0.25× to 3.0× the known-good price, get no verdict. Every item has a price floor: a listing below it is not the product (a box, a cable, a cooler) and is never shown or counted. A listing not seen for 3 runs leaves the live pages.

What it runs

The one-line note on graphics cards, Macs, unified-memory mini PCs and Jetsons comes from a fixed table of memory size to model size: the largest tier at or under the item's memory applies, and the bandwidth figure is the item's. Tokens per second scale with memory bandwidth. Nothing on that line is generated text.

Sources

Across markets

Item pages show both markets side by side when both have stock, with a one-line comparison at the European Central Bank's daily reference rate. That line is an estimate for orientation; verdicts never use it.

What this site is not

Not a shop, not advice. Prices belong to the sources; the site records them and does the arithmetic. Listings are shown as the source describes them.

Links

Some links to eBay are affiliate links: if you buy, Kit may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes how a listing is scored.

eBay links carry Kit's eBay Partner Network tag. Verdicts are computed from prices before any link is written, and the scoring code never reads which links are affiliate links.
